New "After" Pics, April 9th 2006

Here are some new after pics I took on April 9th, 2006. I'm at 122 lbs here, still maintaining between 120 and 125 since August 2005. Thank you NutriSystem for teaching me how to be fit for the rest of my life. I feel like a new person.

Pics on the sides are my "before" pics at 180 lbs, of course...

(Susan, the smiling ones are for you)... LOL

Mike's favorite :)

Amy,
Wow! You've inspired me in everything I've read. I'm new, just received my first shipment last Thursday. What is your best advice for someone just starting out? I see that you lost 24 lbs. in a fast amount of time when you first started. I am starting at a similiar weight so I'll take any advice I can get! Thanks for all your info and I look forward to talking with you!

Lisa,

Congrats on your loss already! :) I suggest staying as close to 100% as possible each day with no little cheats. They really make a difference. Also, drink lots of water. I really think plain water is a must too. It just works for me. I also reccomend trying to get in 30 min of exercise 6 days/week. That'll make a huge difference in how fast you lose! Have a great evening.

Thanks!

I currently get in about 90 min/day, 6 days/week. I do about 50-60 min cardio (usually running) with 20 min weight lifting and then some sets of holding crunches and weighted leg lifts (for my inner and outer thighs). I also do some reps on the Thigh Master every day. LOL

Hey Barb! It can be MORE than a dream. It can easily be a reality for you if you stick with the program and get in some exercise too. I started out working out about an hour per day a long time before NS. My eating was so out of control though that not only did I not LOSE weight, I gained. When I started NS I was doing about 1 hr/day of cardio, with biking on my recumbent bike, doing aerobics and Tae-Bo and an occasional run. I could only run about 1 mile at a time then. I worked up to 5 miles after a few months by gradually increasing my run distance.

I currently get in about 90 min/day of exercise, 6 days/week. I now do about 50-60 min cardio (usually running) with 20 min weight lifting and then some sets of holding crunches and weighted leg lifts (for my inner and outer thighs). I also do some reps on the Thigh Master every day.

Hope that helps!

Congratulations Amy!!! You look fabulous and I know you must have worked very hard. I started NS 11/1/05 lost 30lbs by 2/1/06 and shortly after lost interest and am about broke from my monthly food bill. Your blog has given me a renewed sense of wanting weight loss. I'm 42, 5'6" and a mom to 4 kids and weigh 227, my goal weight is 150. Thank you for sharing your weight loss with us and I am going to try the plan with your recipes. I wish you continued success.

Wow I am a 52 year old mother of 9 ages 12-27 and reading your blog this morning has truly inspired me to try losing again. I am 5'2" and 175 and so depressed about myself. I too used to be 108 pounds many years ago. Your menus with photos are very helpful. I tried the food last year and couldn't eat the NS stuff so it's great to see that I can follow your plan. Thanks again! Nancy

Amy,
My name is Nell McCaffery. I live in Monument as a stay-at-home mommy of 2 5.5 yr old boys. I've been on NS since Jan 4 and have really enjoyed it. I started at 151 and would like to be 125, I'm 5'7" I've stayed around 135 for a couple of weeks not do to NS but simply not doing NS 100%. Family and Friends visiting etc. Anyhow thanks for sharing your recipes, i plan to hault my auto ship come June so having your recipes and the website that compares NS meals to premade meals will make this easy to mantain and be a lot less $$. I'm a runner as well, are you planning to run the Garden of the God's 10 miler this June?? My NS name is nellm. we also have a blog called themccafferyfamilyx4.blogspot.com about how we adopted our second son and his progression thus far. it's great i have one "homegrown" and grown from my heart!! if you'd like to email me about NS or maybe hit the trails sometime simply do so at 4mccafferys@comcast.net

Cheers
Nell McCaffery

Take Care
