180 to 124 lbs in 6 months

Here are some new pics I took the other day, after 6 months on NutriSystem. I have lost 57 lbs now (56 when I took the pics), and I still can't believe the transformation. I am so grateful to have found NS before things got any worse (and by that I mean bigger)... LOL I am now planning on losing until I reach 120 lbs, and then I will begin maintenance. Yahoo!!!!! LOL

Amy (180/123/130)

P.S. The bad tan lines on my thighs are from running 5 miles outside every day. Gotta get that problem fixed soon!!! :)

Hi Amanda!

First, thanks. Second, don't be jealous! Imagine all the people who will be jealous of you when you reach goal and model your bikini, in HAWAII!!! Talk about jealousy, don't get me started! LOL Thanks for the kind words, and I'm off to get my daily fix on your blog tonight. Maybe I'll even post a comment tonight instead of just "lurking"! LOL

Hi Jessica!

NS will do the work for you if you let it! Just stick with the diet as closely to 100% as possible, drink all your water, and get in as much exercise as possible. (I read your blog so I realize you currently have limitations, but I bet you're getting TONS of exercise learning to walk again)! Congrats to you on making such a great decision with NS!

You look fantastic. I think you should put out a cook book, it would sell like hot cakes. I know I would buy it.

Thanks Judy! I doubt I'll ever put out a cookbook, but if I did I would let you know. :) All this stuff is so simple that it doesn't seem like cookbook material to me.

Quick exercise question: how do you find the time and motivation to get out and run when you have two kids and hubby being at work? I have two kids (6month baby and 10yr old son) and have a hard time getting out to run (I am walking for now as I need to lose some more weight since running still hurts my knees). Other then that I ride my exercise bike for 60 minutes 4-6 times a week. I just want to switch things up a bit once in a while...do your hubby and kids join you sometimes? I can't seem to get motivated to leave the house and I know I need to get running again. It's so hard with my baby!

Hi Michelle,

I have a jogging stroller that I used for my daughter when my son was in school and she hadn't started kindergarten yet. It's harder when they're not in school during summer and such. If I want to get in an outdoor workout I have to go out running before my husband leaves for work.

I used to use my exercise bike all the time before I got into running. It's a great workout too. :)

Hi! :)

I'm 5'4" and try to get in about an hour of cardio 6 days/week. I also add in some weights a few times per week and some ab work (crunches). Hope that helps!

One thing that is truly amazing to me is your eyes! You look awake in the after photos. Who knew that something like that would result from the weight loss? I find that to be truly surprising! Weight really is everywhere, even on your eyelids, LOL! Love the photos.

Thanks so much Denise! So glad you like the pictures. They still surprise me sometimes too when I look at them! Yeah, my eyes were SO squinty when I was overweight (of course I didn't really notice it- just noticed the difference when I lost the weight, LOL). Anyway, thanks! You're sweet.

Hi Amy, I also just found your site thru the NS forum. You really should publish your recipes as an ebook and sell them! I would love to have a copy of them if you would be so kind. They look absolutely wonderful and I can still cook for my family and eat the same food!!

Amy I just wanted to say Thank you for sharing your story.

I am almost the same weight that you started at 180lbs...I started my weightloss journey last June, I lost 40lbs in about 5 months, then the last 3 months on plan I was losing interest, so I quit. I was doing a Herbal program. I have gained back about 8 pounds, putting me back at 178-180, I started at 208.75.

I don't want to gain back anymore weight...it makes me sad that I have ket myself gain back what I have but it is so hard sometimes :(

My mom and I ordered the NS plan on Saturday, it is the weekends off plan and I am so thankful for your recipes because now I know I can stay on plan without having to worry what I am going to eat that might not be such a great choice. I am also NOT going to do the 2 days off back to back, going to split them.

I think you look absolutley amazing. If you have any tips at all please feel free to share.

Thanks again
Kim
